Looking to buy compact. Primarily to operate 4' or 5' finish mower to cut 3 acres of grass. Need to be able to clear 700' driveway (stone)of snow. Resident of Frederick, MD. Don't want to spend more than 4-5k. Any leads or direction? I have looked in the classified, but would really like to find the tractor/mower together so I can try out.

Try Ferguson Equip. http://www.erols.com/llb1/frgequip.html. He has a new shipment due in any day, and as of yesterday he had a Yanmar F15D. Thats an 18 HP (15 at PTO) 4WD with Powershift Trans.I saw it. Looked good, and he's a straight shooter. ....

He was asking $5,000 and had a finish mower attached a week ago. I am sure the mower is separately priced, but talk to him. He will give the straight scoop,and he's easy to talk to. Check out his WWW page in previous post for incominginventory cause his current inventory is depleted, but as of Wed. his shipmentwas at the dock in Norfolk.Yes, I am one of his satisfied customers. ....

I have used a Yanmar tractor for 2 years with no problems. It is a diesel 15 hp, 2 wheel drive with a loader. I use a 5' BMB finish mower and it works great. When using the loader I loose traction before power. It has a three speed transmission with a high / low range. Two speed pto. Other uses have been pulling fence post, rolling big bales of hay(using loader to lift and drive forward to roll bale) spraying pastures, make flower beds, move gravel in driveway, move snow. It was always getting front flat tires from thorns, had the product called Rely put in the front tires (makes the tire solid inside, both tires cost total of $62.00 - well worth it!) One thing about having the loader-you don't need a jack to change the front tires-just raise the front end up. Fuel consumption is very low. ....

I have a kubota L175 17hp 2wheel drive with cab, 5ft finish mower,andcommercial 5ft snowblower{front mount}. I have used it for 3 years withno problems mow about 3 acres. The snowblower works great. The only reason i would sell cause would really like to buy one with a front bucket i don'thave a very big drive to take care of.If i sold it i would want $5000.00if your interested Email me. ....
